The state government department of Food has announced that if there are any mal-operations observed in the distribution of Ration Products, it may be reported as SMS (Short Message Service) to the number 9980904040.
The electronic device in the ration shop has the entry of data, such as the family card, family members, Aadhar card details, and mobile phone numbers. So, the purchases made in the ration shop will be immediately correlated to the mobile number linked to this number through SMS.
In the sectors where this facility is implemented, the received SMS must be shown for buying ration items again.
However, there was a complaint that SMS were received by persons who did not make any purchase at all. It was announced earlier that a complaint regarding this can be made to the Circle/Taluk Officer or the Deputy Commissioner Office.
In this scenario, the Food department has introduced the new facility of sending SMS. Especially, the department has sent this as SMS to the Family Card holders.
According to this facility, if any SMS regarding any purchase was received without making any purchase, send SMS to the number 9980904040 by typing PDS, space, 107 and then the message.
Based on this SMS the Food Department Officials will conduct an enquiry on the concerned ration shop employee and take the necessary action.
