In Erode candidates who took the TNPSC Group II exam complained that they suspected the question paper was leaked and a woman candidate is being questioned in this connection.
They informed invigilators after it was over that they suspected that the question paper was leaked as the hand-written questions were similar to the ones in the original question paper.
Following this, Erode Revenue Divisional Officer, Sugumar and police personnel took the woman candidate to the Collectorate where Collector VK Shanmugam questioned her.
In Tamil Nadu, a total of 6.4 lakh aspirants took the exam for 3,631 vacancies in 48 different categories, including municipal commissioner, sub-registrar, junior employment officers, assistant inspectors for audit department and assistant section officers for all departments.
Of 114 examination centres in the state, Chennai has the highest number of nine centres including Anna Nagar, Egmore, Perambur, Vadapalani, Mylapore and Saidapet. Kancheepuram has three centres such as Kancheepuram, Tambaram and Chengelpet and around 25,700 aspirants appear in Kancheepuram district alone. The three-hour-examination is an objective-type and has two papers with each paper has 100 questions. The two papers are general knowledge and language (English or Tamil). Results are expected in October.
