EC announces date for Sankarankovil by elections

The Electron commission has announced the date for Sankarankovil constituency. The election will take place on March 18th �Sunday.
Counting of votes will take place on - 21 March 2012 (Wednesday) from 8 am
Start Date of Nomination - 22-2-2012 (Wednesday)
Last Date to file Nomination - 29-2-2012 (Wednesday)Last date to withdraw nomination - 3-3-2012. The election has been caused due to the death of AIADMK Minister C Karuppasamy. The AIADMk has already named its candidate Muthuselvi and has started campaigning.
The DMk is likely to announce its candidate tomorrow.
