Perfint Healthcare launches ROBIO robotic solutions for cancer care

Perfint Healthcare Corporation based in Chennai and Lowell, MA, USA today announced the launch of ROBIO - the next generation platform of RoboticTargeting systems for Cancer Care and Pain care.  

ROBIO comes with an array of advanced targeting features making it possible for clinicians to perform complex procedures with high degree of accuracy, minimizing unwanted organ damage and with significantly higher patient comfort.  An exciting new introduction in this robot is pain care assistance helping clinicians relieve pain almost instantaneously through CT guided Interventions.

Mr. M Balasubramanian, the newly appointed Director - Global Sales and Customer Support, Perfint Healthcare Corporation explained how launch of the ROBIO was one of many milestones the company is working on towards becoming a $100M company by 2015. The company has successfully expanded to West Asia, APAC and Russia and is now entering EU, Latin America and Africa. In each of these markets the company has been able to install its products at the best hospitals. Mr. Bala said that the ROBIO has already clocked over 30 customer orders during the pre-launch roadshows globally. Mr. Bala joined Perfint recently from GE Healthcare, Singapore and is now driving the country�s international growth strategy. 

Explaining the product features, Mr K Guruswamy, Director � New Products, said that the ROBIO is a significant enhancement to its hugely successful PIGA. ROBIO�s InstaReg a patent pending registration technique and solutions for monitoring of respiratory motion take accuracy and speed of interventions to the next level. ROBIO�s ability to support multiple needle placements and interface with PET-CT scanners, with its enhanced workflow make it possible to perform new types of procedures like Image Guided Pain Care and PET-CT guided Biopsies or Ablation. Mr. Guruswamy  also explained the company�s thrust on new products that support Tumor Ablation, an increasingly adopted alternate to Surgery, Radiation or Chemotherapy � particularly Liver Cancer.
