New 500 currency notes to be distributed from today in Tamil Nadu

Majority of the banks in Tamil Nadu will be dispensing the new Rs 500 notes from today.
Yesterday the new 500 notes introduced by RBI were dispensed for the first time at Salem district in Karur Vysya Bank branch. But many of them who crowded at the bank were disappointed as the bank distributed the new Rs 500 currency notes only to those who held accounts with the bank.
Similarly majority of ATMs have been calibrated in order to dispense new 500 and 2000 notes. Bank officials have mentioned that people can withdraw 500 and 2000 notes from ATMs.
