ATMs will take more to dispense Rs. 2000 notes

In one of the historical reforms of the economy of India, Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes were banned effective Tuesday midnight. The public are exchanging the banned notes in banks and post offices.
The newly introduced Rs 2000 currency notes will not be readily available at the ATMs. The new Rs. 2000 notes would need testing and change in configuration. Hence economic affairs secretary Shakti Kanta Das has asked the public to give full cooperation. Moreover the central government will be introducing new 1000,100 and 50 rupee notes.
