No rainfall in the next few days

S Balachandran, director, Regional Meteorological Centre said: Chennaites will have to brace for a spell of subdued weather in the coming days. The northeast monsoon began at the end of October causing short spells of heavy downpour owing to a low-pressure system over southeast Bay of Bengal. There will be no rainfall for the next few days. The southern parts of the state alone may witness mild showers. The maximum temperature too is likely to touch 33 degree Celsius on Wednesday and Thursday in Chennai.
