Now apply online to add names to the electoral rolls in Tamil Nadu.
The official website for e-registration is
1. The online facility for registration in the electoral roll in a particular Assembly Constituency in Tamil Nadu is available only for Indian Citizens who are of the age of 18 or above ( as on 1.1.2010) and who are ordinarily resident in that area.
2. Kindly apply online only after verifying that your name is not already registered in the electoral rolls.
3. NRIs and non-residents cannot register as voter in any area.
4. ** - (asterisk) - marked columns in the on-line form are compulsory.
5. You need to have valid e-mail address to avail this facility
6 You need to upload scanned image of your passport size photograph/digital image after the submission of the form(Only .gif, .jpeg, .png, .jpg images under 350Kb with dimension 200X200 are accepted for upload) Your Application will not be considered for inclusion in Electoral Roll if you dont upload your photograph
7. Facility for deletion of names in electoral rolls is not available.
8. Fill up your form properly and click on submit button
9. For confirmation check your e-mail account.
10. Click on the confirm link in your e-mail for processing of your form.
11. Your Booth Level Officer will come to your place for verification and obtaining your signature
