India in 39th place in the list of competitiveness index among world countries

The World Economic Forum has released the list of countries with competitiveness index for the year 2016-17.India has secured the 39th place in this list.The World Economic Forum has been releasing the list of Competitiveness Index among the world countries every year since 2005.
Now, it has released the list for the year 2016-17. Sri Lanka is in 71st place. Bhutan is in 97th place. Nepal is in 98th place. Bangladesh is in 106th place.
The competitiveness index is calculated based on the extent several factors and arrangements which contribute to the respective country�s production skills. There are totally 12 factors considered.
Factors such as infrastructure, Macroeconomic environment, health, primary education, Higher education and training, Market Stock skill, share market growth, share values, and innovations are considered while assessing the index for the different countries.
