Crude Oil Import: this year crude oil import is the maximum in the last 7 years

Crude oil imports in India this year has exceeded the quantity of import over the last 7 years.
In order to meet the demand, the oil corporations have imported the additional crude oil.
Last August, 1.88 Crore tons of crude oil has been imported. As compared to August 2015, this is an increase of 9.1 percent. In fact, the quantity of crude oil import in August 2016 is maximum since April 2009.
India has paid Rs. 39030 Crores for the oil import during August 2016. Last year, the figure was Rs. 39024 Crores.
The demand for all fuels except naphtha and kerosene has been increasing continuously. During last August, the demand for petrol has increased by 25 percent.
Diesel sales have increased from 54 Lakh tons to 61 Lakh tons. LPG Cooking gas sales is up by 20 percent and is 18 Lakh tons.
