Ban on Plastic Bags

The Ministry of Tourism on Friday has decided to prohibit the use of polythene in 100-metre radius of national monuments from October 2 onwards.
Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma said: Tourism Ministry has decided to ban polythene in all the national monuments and tourist destinations from October 2. Plastic bottles would not be banned but tourists would be asked to place them in the recycle container at the tourists destinations.
