Telecom operators offer discounts to customers using mobile number portability to change to Reliance Jio.
In a bid to retain customers, leading telecom players are now offering discounts to those who are trying to port their mobile number to Reliance Jio. Reliance Jio has offered to give free voice calls, which has created a big buzz in the market. In addition to this, Jio has also said that it will not charge for the voice and data till December 31.
According to sources, Customer are being offered discounts on their rentals for six months and asked to wait for sometime as their operator will try to offer more schemes of discounted tariff in the coming days. The discount in tariff is only to induce them to wait till their operator device their tariff strategy to counter Jio and ensure that there is no mass migration.
