Trivandrum Corporation bans plastic bags

Trivandrum Corporation has banned use of plastic bags lesser than 50 microns. The Mayor of Trivandrum Corporation had announced that discussions are on to ban plastic items in Trivandrum.
As a move in this regard, plastic bags of lesser than 50 microns were banned here. Shops that have plastic bag stocks are given with time up to 15th of this month within which they can sell out all of them. If plastic bags are sold after this date, they will be penalized.
