Department of Technical Education New orders for private Polytechnics

The Director of Technical Education has ordered that the self-financed colleges which have not renewed the approval of AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) cannot admit students.
In the order released by the Director of the State Technical Education, S Madhumathi, The self-financed polytechnic institutions offering diploma courses in engineering can admit students for the academic year 2016-17 only if they have the approval from AITCE.
If AICTE approval has not been obtained for the academic year 2016-17, these institutions cannot admit new students. If the admission is made without AICTE approval, it will not be permitted. These students will not be allowed to appear for semester examinations.
