Apple smartphones price up by 29 percent

One of the leading smartphone manufacturers in the world, Apple, has suddenly increased the prices of its phone in India by 29 percent.
Further, some concession given to high-end phones have also been withdrawn. Apple recently released its SE series smartphones.However, these phones sold only in thousands.
The main reason for the low sales is the fact that Apple SE series smartphones prices are higher even as compared to its their products. Apple 6 and 6S are sold currently at Rs. 31000/- and Rs. 40500/-. Apple SE phones are sold at Rs. 39000/-.Some concessions were given to 6 and 6S smartphones.
However, no concession was offered to SE. So, the people hesitated to buy SE. Sales went down. Subsequently, Apple withdrew the concessions given to 6 & 6S as well. It increased the prices of its new range by 29 percent.
It seems Apple has a strong conviction that the popularity and status as a product will remain high and it is only proper for the smartphones to be pitched at a higher price.
However, Indian sales outlets are apprehensive about this conviction - they are in a quandary as to how successful this would be.
