Passport Mela to be held on Saturday

An official press release has announced that the Regional Passport Office (RPO) in Chennai will organise a Passport Mela on Saturday. The mela will be held at the Passport Seva Kendra at Tambaram. The Kendra will function on Saturday. Applications will be accepted as per time slots allotted to the applicants.
The RPO hopes to enable about 500 normal applicants to benefit from this mela. Applicants may log on to the official website which is www.passportindia.gov.in. They may register online and generate an Applicant Registration Number or ARN. Once done, they may pay the required fee online and take an appointment.
All applicants should bring the printout of the ARN and the appointment details along with them. The requisite documents in originals and one set of photocopies that are self attested must also be at hand. The mela is only for normal applicants and not for applications for Tatkal or PCC. Only applicants who have previously registered according to the above conditions may attend. No walk ins will entertained. This will include On Hold and Refuse tokens.
Appointments for the mela was released from (Mar 15) Tuesday at 2.45 pm.
