Chennaites can plant saplings in the city
The Chennai Corporation has invited individuals, NGOs, residents associations and private organizations to plant saplings on corporation-owned roads, parks, playgrounds, hospitals, schools, river banks, open space reservation (OSR) lands and crematoriums.
Interested applicants can plant and maintain the trees at their own cost after the permission from the corporation for at least three years.The saplings should be at least above 10 feet.
Citizens can visit www.chennaicorporation.gov.in/images/ParksTreePlant.PDF to download the application to plant saplings in the city.
