Vijay Sethupathi in a kidnap film

Rekka is a film which will have Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. Lakshmi Menon will be donning the female lead role. Rathana Siva will be directing the film. The shooting of the film will commence from April.
This will be an action film set against the backdrop of Madurai. This is basically a kidnapping story in which Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the role of a kidnapper. Lakshmi Menon is playing the role of a village belle. Vijay Sethupathi is expected to complete his current projects and then join this team.
After Soodhu Kavvum Vijay Sethupathi is acting in a kidnap-based story. But unlike Soodhu Kavvum this is said to be a serious kidnap plot.
