Latest technology to detect TB at Karur Govt hospital

Collector Jeyanthi inaugurated the usage of technically advanced latest microscope that can identify TB causing virus at Karur government hospital. Speaking at the inaugural event, she said the Tamil Nadu government is in full swing to bring about a society free from tuberculosis. Measures are taken to educate people about the disease and create awareness among them. This is achieved with the help of NGOs and volunteers.
Tuberculosis is not a deadly disease and is easily curable. If one encounters continuous coughing, it is recommended for consulting with a doctor immediately and take necessary treatment. There are several technically advanced equipments available in the industry to detect the presence of the disease.
One such technically advanced instrument worth Rs 1 lakh is introduced at the Karur government hospital. While the disease can be detected in 5 minutes using a commonly used microscope, the same can be done in just two minutes with the help of this technically advanced microscope. The precision is too high too.
This will be of great help in detecting the disease in a jiffy and provide necessary treatment immediately. The inaugural event also included prize and shied distribution to doctors and staff members working at the tuberculosis centre. Principal of the medical college, Revathi, Chandran, the Associate Director of the medical college, etc were among the participants.
