State Board exam schedule released, parents and educational institutions disappointed

The State Board examination schedule for Class XII (Plus 2) and Class X has been released by the Directorate of Government Examinations. Which the Plus 2 exams will begin on March 4, Class X exams will start on March 15. The Higerh Secondary exams will be held between 10.15 am and 1015 pm, the Class X exams between 9.30 am and 12 noon.
An official from the Tamil Nadu Parents� Welfare Association has said, The timetable has disappointed students and parents. After floods many are still recovering from the agony. The authorities had not considered this fact. After the half-yearly examinations which end on January 22, there will be just more than a month left for the annual examination.
The sentiment is shared by educationists too. A prominent educationist in the city said, The sole reason behind scheduling the examinations early is Assembly election. It is very insensitive on the part of the state government to keep a gap of one month or so. They are doing it solely because of election.
