Severe Rain Surges Price of Veggies

Due to heavy rain showers, price of veggies have skyrocketed. A kg of tomato is priced between Rs 60-75 and onions Rs 40-60.
Price of other vegetable varieties like ladies finger are also increased. Wholesale retailers at the Koyambedu market say this increase in price is due to shortage of vegetable supply from other states and districts.
