Depression formed over Arabian Sea changes to a storm - named May

Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that the low depression zone which had formed over the Arabian Sea has now transformed into a storm.
Chennai Meteorological Centre Director Mr. Ramanan informed that because of the storm formation, there are prospects of heavy rain in some districts in Tamil Nadu.The storm has been named May.
The cyclonic development in the atmospheric upper layers over Southwest Bay of Bengal has continued to remain in that zone. Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that because of this, there may be heavy rains in coastal districts of Tamil Nadu.
It has also informed that storm May might not affect Tamil Nadu tat much.
