The Tamilnadu Educational Trust invites applications for scholarship

Applications are invited from 600 meritorious and economically backward students for Tamilnadu Educational Trust scholarship. The last date to apply for this scholarship is 30th November.
The Tamilnadu Educational Trust scholarship has been increased by Rs. 1,000 for all courses from this year.
Meritorious and economically backward students studying first year degree and PG courses in arts, science, medicine, engineering and PhD in the state can apply for the scholarship. Earlier, the scholarship was Rs. 5000 for graduate courses, Rs. 5,500 for PG, Rs. 6000 for professional courses and Rs. 8000 for PhD courses.
Students who have passed the qualifying examination in the first class with 60 per cent marks and above, whose parents/guardian`s income does not exceed Rs. 2, 00,000 per annum, and who are not in receipt of any other scholarships, are eligible to apply.
Students can apply to The Honorary Secretary, The Tamilnadu Educational Trust, Rani Seethai Hall, 6th Floor, No. 603, Anna Salai, Chennai � 600 007 for application forms with a self-addressed envelope with a Rs. 10 postal stamp affixed. Applications will be issued till November 15.
