Tamil Nadu may experience rains today

North West Monsoon rains will commence on 20th October in Tamil Nadu. There are chances that it might commence even earlier. There also chances of getting delayed. If the North West Monsoon season begins then there will be heavy rains in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu but so far there are no signs of it. Hence the North West Monsoon will commence only after 20th.
At this juncture, the meteorological centre has mentioned that there will be rains in some parts of Tamil Nadu today.
S R Ramanan of Chennai meteorological centre while speaking said, There are upper circulation activities prevailing in Kanyakumari. Because of this, there will be rains in some areas of South Tamil Nadu today. There also chances of heavy rains in one or two places in Tamil Nadu. There will be rains also in the northern districts of Tamil Nadu.
