CMRL conducts first underground trial between Koyambedu and Anna Nagar Tower

The first underground trial run between Koyambedu and Anna Nagar Tower today using a diesel locomotive was successfully conducted by Chennai Metro Rail.
An official of CMRL official said, The underground stretch between Koyambedu and Anna Nagar Tower saw the first test run today. As the electrification work is yet to be completed, the test run was done using a diesel locomotive. 30-40 workers were involved in this trial run project. The test run was successful, and the locomotive ran till Anna Nagar Tower.
