Price of Bengal-gram sky-rockets! Up by Rs. 1500/- pr bag in 1 day! Rs. 200/- per kg!

Though the central government has been taking several measures to check and control the price of Bengal-gram, the prices continue to go up!
In Chennai, the price of Bengal-gram shot up steeply with a bag of 100 kg of Bengal-gram by Rs. 1500/- to sell at Rs. 18500/- per bag. This was informed by Tamil Nadu Grocery traders association.
On the retail sales, 1st quality Bengal-gram is sold at Rs. 180/- to Rs. 195/- per kg. Bengal-gram sold in packets costs Rs. 210/- per kg.
Price of Tanzania Bengal-gram has also gone up to sell at Rs. 160/- per kg.
