Central Government is taking all efforts to issue Aadhar cards to every citizen of India. At this juncture, the Chennai Corporation is making necessary arrangements to issue Aadhar Cards at special camps organized at Chennai Corporation schools.
So far only 77.85% have registered for Aadhar Cards in Chennai. In order to speed up this work more computers were added to 18 centres during the month of July. Another five centers will be opened next week.
The Aadhar card registration should be completed by December. So keeping this in mind it has been decided to set up Aadhar card centres in 284 corporation schools.
Normally in the Aadhar Centres, only the iris, finger prints of the people and photo of them will be captured. Later on the applicant`s name, age, address, parent’s name will be uploaded in the computer. Since there is stagnation in the delay of uploading there is delay in issuing the Aadhar cards.
Hence in the newly opened centres, apart from capturing the details of iris, finger prints of the people and photo of them, the details regarding name age, address, parent`s name will be uploaded in the computer immediately.
