BSNL plans to quadruple its internet service speed

BSNL (Bharath Sanchar Nigam Limited), central government`s communication company, is set to increase the internet speed of its service by 4 times from 1st October.

A news report released by BSNL about this:

The current speed of the internet services offered by BSNL is 512 KBPS. (kilobytes per second). Under the PM`s new project, `Digital India Services`, this is set to increase by 4 times. So, the new speed of the internet services offered by BSNL will be 2MBPS (megabytes per second).

Special concession on Vinayaka Chathurthi festival

BSNL has introduced a new service, called `Pudhu Vasantham`’ on the occasion of Vinayaka Chathurthi festival.

Under this new scheme, a customer can buy BSNL prepaid SIM at Rs. 15/-. This SIM card can be used for 1000 minutes talk. It should be used within 3 months. Further, call rates would be charged at 0,8 paise per minute for the first 3 months after buying the SIM card.

After buying the SIM, the customer can enjoy sending free sms @25 sms per month for the first 3 months. Besides, 50MB internet facility will be given free for the first month
