Doctors give preventive measures for preventing mouse-fever spreading fast in Chennai

Doctors have warned that mouse-fever is spreading fast in Chennai after a gap of 5 years. They inform that children are the easy targets for this fever which is quite harmful with serious disorders.
The number of patients getting treated for mouse-fever in both government & private hospital continues to rise.
When a doctor was enquired about mouse-fever spreads and how to prevent the same, he explained that it is advisable to be vigilant and take corrective action if mice movement is detected inside the residence. If the mice cannot be driven out of the house, they have to be removed somehow by using muse-traps, etc to get them away from the house.
Most of the time, the mice tend to be moving around in the kitchen area. They can sniff food smell and somehow manage to enter the kitchen. We should not provide any easy avenues for them to enter the kitchen.
If mice movement is detected in the kitchen, ensure that all water storage vessels are closed properly. All cookery items and cooked items should be kept covered properly.
If, by chance, the urine of mice comes into contact on food items/water, this will spread the mouse fever immediately. Care should be taken to prevent mice entering the water storage or well areas. These actions must be undertaken immediately. Also, have the habit of washing your hands before meals. These preventive actions will ensure prevention of attacks by all fevers including mice-fever.
