Banks closed on 2nd & 4th Saturdays of each month - from tomorrow (12th Sept)

With effect from tomorrow, Saturday, 12th September , all the nationalised banks will remain closed on 2nd & 4th Saturdays of every month.
The central government released an order based on the joint agreement between IBA (Indian Bankers Association) & Employees Union officials to this effect which will come into effect from tomorrow.
For the month of September, tomorrow, 12th, being the 2nd Saturday & 26th , the nationalised banks will remain closed.
Bank officials informed that since they are closed on 2nd & 4th Saturdays, they will work full day on the other Saturdays.
