Accident insurance covers for students on educational expeditions

AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) has imposed a new regulation on all technical institutes that all students who undertake educational tours, industrial visits, or on-the-job training should have accident insurance coverage.
The highlights:
A protection Identity Card with details of the student including the cell number of the parents/guardian`s should be given.
Every student and accompanying teachers should have accident insurance cover. This expense shall be borne by the concerned educational institute.
If girl students are undertaking the tour, a female teacher must accompany them.
Every student must possess a medical fitness certificate from approved doctors.
Teachers accompanying the students must take the pledge for safety of the students. If anything untoward happens to any of the students, action should be taken on the accompanying teacher.
An introductory training session can be arranged in advance of the proposed educational trio detailing the students the proper way to conduct themselves and the safety steps to be followed.
The accompanying teachers must be aware about the physical condition of every student.
If activities such as boat-rides are swimming are undertaken, a life-guide or supervisor must accompany.
If the above regulations are not strictly followed or if any untoward incidents happen, stringent action will be taken on on the concerned educational institution.
