Audio alarm sounds facility in buses for visually impaired people

A debate was conducted in the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly yesterday (Monday, 31st august) on the demands for subsidy for the department of differently-abled welfare.
Minister Ms. Valarmathi answered the questions raised and made a few announcements:
Funds extended for setting up small companies or shops has been raised to Rs. 10000/-. All buses will be provided with audio alarm system to facilitate the visually impaired people. In the first phase, this will be introduced in 75 bus routes operated in Chennai Metro City.
