SRM to launch search engine for public

Officials of the SRM University addressed the press on Monday and announced that the university will launch a search engine this month.
Speaking at the gathering, officials such as the university`s Research Director and Vice Chancellor said, `The search engine would be accessible in the public domain. The university hopes to encourage more innovations and wants Indian universities to be among the top notch institutions in the world. For this, the curriculum needs an overhaul and has to be updated so that it has practical relevance in today`s context. This is where private institutions can play a vital role.`
A number of research projects by the students were also displayed during the press conference. These projects included an electronic skate board, an autonomous underwater vehicle and a concrete canoe. The students are also working on a satellite mission named Mission to Moon. This the the second such mission and is expected to finish in 2018.
