Tamil Nadu State Assembly sessions from 24th August

As per the notification issued by the Assembly Secretary AMP Jamaludeen, the assembly session might start from August 24th at 10:00 am. This session is the 11th session of the 14th assembly. The session will go up to 29th September.
The Committee meeting was chaired by the Speaker, P Dhanapal.
On the opening day on Monday, obituary references will be made about former members who had passed away.
Resolutions would be adopted to condole the deaths of former President A P J Abdul Kalam, former Minister Sendhur Pandian and legendary music composer M S Vishwanathan.
Opposition parties in Tamil Nadu have been demanding the state government convene the assembly session to discuss issues like liquor prohibition, demand for grants for different departments and others.
