Central Ministry of Finance has opened a website for the students who seek education loans.
The name of the website is www.vidyalakshmi.co.in
This will facilitate the students seeking education loan to get all relevant details through a single-window system.
5 banks including State Bank of India, IDBI, and Bank of India have integrated their education loan procedures in this website.
13 banks have provided details about their education loan schemes.
National Security Depository Limited (NSDL) administers this website.
The main aim of the website is to ensure that students wishing to pursue higher education should not drop it for failure to get education loans.
This website also provides the application procedure apart from the details like the amount of loan.
