Simplified procedure for adopting a child

The new procedure for adopting a child is brought to effect from 1st of August 2015. Below are the new changes and benefits of the same:
� The entire process of adopting a child can be done through online means
� The portal for CARINGS (www.cara.nic.in) is updated
� An exclusive agency called SAA is set up for adopting children from within the country and outside the country as well
� NRIs can take freedom of discussing with Indian parents freely
� All adoption done without the involvement of CARINGS are banned
� Adopting a child from nursery, hospitals, maternity centres or others is illegal
