BSNL has lost 2 Crore customers in the last financial year alone.
A senior official of BSNL informed that it has lost 1.78 Crores cell-phone customers and 20 Lakhs of landline customers.
He explained the failure of BSNL to adopt the latest marketing techniques to promote its services in competition with other service providers is the main reason for this loss of huge customer base.
Another reason is that no large investments were made in improving the technology infrastructure.
However, efforts are now being taken up to attract new customers and retain the old clients.
