86 percent of h1b visa holders in the USA are Indians, research

In a recent research, it is found that 86 percent of IT professionals working in the United States with H1b visa hail from India.
A research unit for International migration of Georgetown University received information under RTI Act. About 76000 foreigners received Hb1 visa out of which most of them received visa for working in IT profession. Out of this 86 percent of them are Indians.
Most of them work for Infosys, TATA Consultancy Services, and other outsourcing firms.
Next to India, in the list, China stands second with 5 percent people hailing from the country. No other country exceeded even above 1 percent.
Among those who received the visa to work under divisions like mechanics, electronics, architectural, chemical, aircraft, 47 percent of them are Indians who counted to 8,103. China stands next with 19.5 percent population.
