Central government cancels the order that there will be no fails up to 8th Standard

Central Minister of State for Human Welfare Development Mr. Ram Shankar Khataria has informed that there will be change in the policy/rule that there will be no �fails� in the school education up to 8th Standard.
The minister was speaking at Indore and informed that this order of no fails up to 8th standard was mainly responsible for lowering the quality & standards of primary education.
As the students were promoted without any supporting academic performance, the situation has become far worse especially in rural areas.
It has now become dire necessity to improve the quality and standard of primary education.
The minister also assured that there would be no disturbance to the autonomy of Indian Institutes of Management from the proposal recently made for Management Education.
However, one has to bear in mind that IIMs should not be allowed to function independently all the time. There is absolutely no proposal to remove University Grants Commission (UGC).
