Showers to continue in Chennai and Pondicherry

According to the meteorological information, few places across Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry might be witnessing heavy downpour of showers due to heat convection. In the past few days, Chennai and other surrounding locales has been having heat during the morning times and showers during evening-night phase. It happened to be the same last evening as well and now the meteorological centre claims that there could be the same scenario.
Due to heavy rainfall, many places across Chennai lanes were so much dampened and it caused havoc on traffic life. The rainfall with heavy winds created the fall down of many trees, which again was a problem to traffic on the roads. Many places were appalled with the trees falling down and one among them was the police station in Perambur itself. The police officials came out rushing towards outside on hearing a thundering sound and few bicycles were damaged due to this.
"Heat convection might continue to have its impact resulting in rains across Chennai, Pondicherry and few more places," says one of the officials from Chennai Meteorological Information Centre.
