Attention-distracting cell-phones!!

A recent study has established that a person is more likely to commit errors/mistakes in his/her tasks when distracted by the various notifications in Facebook or e-mail from their smartphones!
This was released in one of the practical psychology analysis journals.
The researchers explain that when a person is executing a task, he is likely to be distracted when disturbed even by normal calls from the cellphone.
When announcement are made it generally detected by the vibration on the cell phone. The researchers say that this vibration might be the reason for the distraction and errors/mistakes.
Even if the cell-phone vibration is of only 1 minute duration, this distraction send the mind of the person to start thinking what it might be about! The research says that this tendency not only leads to mistakes but sometimes may have dangerous effects as well.
To avoid this, it is best advised to keep the cell-phone in �silent� mode when indulging in important activities.
