Here comes Facebook Lite app

Here is a new launch by Facebook. The social network has launched its Lite app for those who use Android phones. This app is for users in India and Philippines. According to sources, this app will fetch all the core experience one can enjoy with Facebook, and it can work even with slow internet connection.
Since January this year, the app has been under testing and the soft-launch was made earlier in June in select countries. According to Facebook, the Lite app can be used on 2G networks and when used so, the app is even faster than its original version. The reason behind the speed is that its servers carry the load of optimizing the content on the Facebook page.
The app is just of 430 kb in size which can be downloaded in no time. Push notifications, messaging, ads and others are included in this app. However, video streaming is not included as of now.
This has a simplified interface and offers excellent performance. Over 114 million active mobile users are present in India for Facebook. In few weeks or months, the app will be released in other markets as well.
