Test match cricket is highly traditional and has a long history – more than a few centuries!
However, since the advent of ODIs (50 overs - 1-day) & T20 (20 overs – a few hours), the popularity of test cricket has waned and there are not enough spectators to watch.
ICC (International Cricket Council) had taken several measures to popularise test matches.
As one of the measures, day & night cricket was to be introduced.
Pink colour balls are proposed to be used during night play to facilitate the batsman to have easy sight of the ball.
Australia & New Zealand will play a test match at Adelaide from 27th November till 1st December as a day & night match.
