According to a study conducted by the Harvard Business Review, 78% of employers in companies that have 100 or more employees use aptitude tests to assess them. So your annual assessment may not be just on how much money you�ve brought in for the company.
Here are the parameters on which employees may be assessed.
1. Competence
Traits they are looking for: Expertise, Experience, Trainability
Tools they use: Resumes, aptitude tests, situational judgement tests
2. Work Ethic
Traits they are looking for: Reliability, ambition, integrity
Tools they use: Personality tests, references, peer evaluations, values tests
3. Emotional intelligence
Traits they are looking for: Self management, social skills, political skills
Tools they use: Interviews, personality tests, situational judgment tests, performance tasks.
