Isolated rain or thundershowers may occur over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

Due to convection, there are chances of rains in Tamil and Puducherry in the next 24 hours. An official of Meteorological Centre said, �There is heavy downpour of rains in Andhra, Telangana and Karnataka due to south west monsoon. Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala. There are rains for the last few days in Tamil Nadu due to convection. In the last 24 hours rainfall recorded in centimetres are Periyar (Theni Dist) 3, Nagercoil (Kanyakumari Dist), Thuckalay (Kanyakumari Dist), Mylaudy (Kanyakumari Dist) 1 each. Isolated rain or thundershowers may occur over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. As far as Chennai is concerned the sky condition would be generally cloudy. Rain or thundershowers may occur in some areas during evening or night. Maximum and minimum temperature would be around 37 and 28 degree Celsius respectively.�
