Aircel, the fourth largest GSM telecom operator in India announced withdrawal of roaming charges in five major southern states including Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. This wave off on the roaming charge doesn�t require any add-on charges by the customers or there is no need for any extra activation of special packages. This will be applicable for all its customers and will come into effect from 11th of June.
The circle business head for AP and Telengana, Hardeep Johar, speaking about this new move by Aircel said their customers can feel free to use their mobile network even while traveling through southern states of the country. All outgoing calls will be priced 1 paise per second irrespective of local or STD calls. This move is believed to increase the customer base by 10 per cent.
