TNPSC Group 1 Mains answer keys to be released in a week�s time

Group 1 Main examinations were held yesterday. 3,450 candidates wrote this examination. Answer keys for this examination will be released in a week�s time in the official website. This was mentioned by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Chairman S Balasubramaniam.
The Commission issued notification for 79 vacancies which include Deputy Collectors, Deputy Police Superintendents, Assistant Commercial Commissioner and district registrars. The preliminary examinations for those who have applied were held during the month of July. Following this, the results were announced. 4282 have passed this examination and have become eligible for Mains examinations.
The Mains examinations were supposed to be held during the month of May. This was postponed and the examinations were held yesterday.
TNPSC Chairman Balasubramaniam visited Triplicane NKT High School where the examinations were conducted. While speaking to the media he said, �4282 candidates were eligible to write the Group 1 Main examinations but 20% did not turn up. 3,450 candidates wrote the examinations. This examination is conducted in Chennai alone. The examinations have been conducted 43 centres. There are 10 rooms in each centre, 10 candidates will write in each room. The examination will be held till 7th. Some did not turn up for the examinations. The answer keys of this examination will be uploaded in a week�s time in the Commission�s website. There are 74 vacancies in the new Group 1. Notification for this will be announced in two weeks. Usually an extra time of 30 minutes will be given for physically disabled candidates. One physically disabled candidate R Ramesh demanded one hour grace time. This was permitted as per Head Court orders. He is writing the examination at Shenoy Nagar centre.�
