The audio CD of Maari which has the combination of Anirudh and Dhanush is being released on 25th May. Balaji Mohan who had earlier directed Kadhalil Sodhapuvadhu Yeppadi and Vaayai Moodi Pesavum has directed the film. For the first time Kajal Aggarwal has paired with Dhanush. Dhanush is donning the role of a rowdy. He had earlier donned this role in Pudhupettai.
Dhanush after seeing the hit song Donga Mari from his film Anegan has titled his new film Mari. It is understood that there is song similar to Donga Mari in the film Maari also.
