Tamil Nadu State government: Applications for �Padma� Awards invited!

The state government of Tamil Nadu has proposed to have applications for conferment of the �Padma� awards, the country�s highest honour awards.
Details of the press report:
The central government has been awarding the country�s highest honours of �Padma� awards every year since 1954.
�Prestigious �Padma� awards are accorded to great achievers in the fields of Arts, literature, education, sports, medical science, social service, science & engineering, public welfare service, trader & industry.
For the awards to be accorded during the year 2016, applications are invited. The application forms must be duly filled with all the details asked for. Necessary proofs & documents should be attached.
