Chandrayaan-2 planned to be launched during 2017-18

The Chandrayaan-2, India�s second mission to the Moon, has Orbiter, Lander and Rover configuration. It is planned to be launched during 2017- 2018 timeframe by Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.
This information was given by MoS in the Prime Minister�s Office and Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, PG & Pensions, Dr Jitendra Singh in written reply to an unstarred question in the Rajya Sabha today.
